Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation and Perform rescue from a live LV panel
The CPR/LVR training is the accreditation required for electricians (or those who support electrical work) to obtain/maintain their electrical licence.
This course is industry recognised to provide students with the skills and knowledge to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australia Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guides, and in the performance of rescue procedures from a live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the workplace.
This course can be completed by those who have not completed a CPR/LVR course before or those who are refreshing their competencies every 12 months.
The program is made up of the following nationally accredited units of competency:

You may be eligible to receive Construction Skills Queensland funding for this course if you are a worker or an apprentice / trainee in the building and construction industry.

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
The CPR is a pre-requisite unit to LVR and it gives students the knowledge and skills required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

Perform Rescue from a Live LV panel (LVR)
The LVR component covers the process of performing a low voltage rescue without harm to themselves.

Training will be conducted by experienced trainer assessors who have industry currency, strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
Practical and theoretical activities drive the training experience to ensure that the training is engaging, interesting and relevant.

To complete the course, students must successfully complete all assessments which are aligned with the national units of competency.
All assessments are completed during the course – no assessment activities need to be completed prior to or post the training course.
Upon successful completion of the course requirements, students will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the following units of competency:

You may be eligible to receive CSQ funding for the LVR unit of competency that forms part of this course - provided you work in the building & construction industry in Queensland.
Please note, for those students refreshing their LVR accreditation – you are only eligible for CSQ funding if it's been 9 months or more since the completion of your previous training.
If eligible, you will receive funding of $69.00 for the LVR unit, which means an out of pocket expense of $31.00.
