Refresher - Working Safely at Heights Training
Working Safely at Heights is the training accreditation suitable for people who are required to undertake work at heights.
WorkSafe Connect has been delivering workplace health and safety related working at heights programs for over 15 years and is one of Queensland’s leading suppliers of the working at heights skill set.
This 4-hour refresher course has been designed to update competent and experienced students with the latest skills and knowledge required to work at heights. The course takes students through the process that will provide valuable knowledge regarding safety practices when working at heights.

Our working at heights training course will run the participants through areas including:
The skills and knowledge that you obtain during the Work Safely at Heights Training is suitable for working at heights across a wide range of industries including the Resources, Quarrying, Drilling, Agriculture, Councils/Government, Defence, Manufacturing, Heavy Industry and Construction industries.
To be eligible for this refresher course, please provide one of the following items to evidence your previous working at heights accreditation completed in the last three (3) years:
Please email your evidence to info@workafeconnect.com as soon as possible and at least 2 BUSINESS DAYS prior to the course commencement. Attendance to the course may be rejected if the evidence is not received on time.
Training will be conducted by experienced trainer assessors who have industry currency, strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards.
Practical and theoretical activities drive the training experience to ensure that the training is engaging, interesting and relevant.

WorkSafe Connect recognises that whilst there is a standard set of learning outcomes for this course, the context and environment in which the learning is applied is varied.

To complete the course, students must successfully complete all assessments which are aligned with the national unit of competency.
All assessments are completed during the course – no assessment activities need to be completed prior to or post the training course.
Upon successful completion of the course requirements, students will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the following unit of competency:
While there is no legislated requirement associated with the refreshing of this competency, industry suggests that best practice is to refresh this competency once every 2-3 years.

Work at heights training is focused on fall prevention and fall arrest. It is designed to equip workers with the knowledge and skills to safely work in any height situation, primarily being aimed at general construction, maintenance, mining, large factories or other work situations where work is conducted where there is a risk of a fall.

While there is no legislated requirement set out for the refreshing of this competency, industry best practice suggests that this competency should be refreshed once every 2-3 years.
